Rev. Warren Harvey (Ambassador Presbyterian) will present a summary of his recent Sabbatical entitled A Calmed and Quieted Soul: Learning to Rest

He writes, “Others asked me, ‘What are you going to do on your sabbatical?’ I told them, ‘I’m going to rest.’ They’d follow-up with, ‘Yes, but what are you going to do while you rest?’  The very question stirred in me the array of feelings that led me to seek a sabbatical in the first place.  I needed to cease from doing and learn to rest, not just physically or mentally, but learn anew to rest my soul in the Lord.  Sabbatical wasn’t so much about what I needed to do, as about what God needed to do in me.”
